Bio: James Mooney, MD originally hailing from Saginaw, Michigan who completed medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin and residency at Tripler Army Medical Center. He is a recently separated Army Psychiatrist with leadership roles during his service in outpatient, inpatient/consultation, residential, educational, interventional, and deployed settings who begins his role as Associate Professor.
at the University of Wisconsin this fall. He has particular interest and experience in Interventional Psychiatry specifically trans-cranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and Performance Psychiatry holding membership in the International Society of Sports Psychiatry, certification and membership through the American Board of Sports and Performance Psychiatry, and certification through the International Olympic Committee Diploma for Mental Health in Elite Sport. He is a proud Michigan State Spartan and most importantly he prides himself in his role as a husband and father to his two young daughters.
